THE 2019-2020 RAY & DREGS FANTASY HOCKEY POOL CONTEST (THE “POOL”)

OFFICIAL RULES (THE “OFFICIAL RULES”)

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF CANADA, EXCLUDING QUEBEC, 19 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

  1. Contest period commences Saturday, September 28th 2019 at 11:59 a.m. Eastern Time and ends on Sunday, April 4th 2019 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
  2. Eligibility to enter the Pool: The Pool is open only to legal residents of Canada, excluding the Province of Quebec, who are 19 years of age at the time of entry.
  3. To enter the Pool, visit www.rayanddregs.com, during the Contest Entry Period, between Saturday, September 28th 2019 at 11:59 a.m. Eastern Time and Saturday, Oct 5, 2019 at 11:59pm PT, and follow the official Pool registration and player selection format, instructions and rules as shown on the website. One entry per person. Multiple entries by the same person will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any prizing.
  4. By entering the Pool and this contest you are entering for the chance to win (1) the First Half-Season prize, and/or, (2) one of the three End of the Regular Season Final Prizes; either a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place prize from the Sponsor.
  5. Prizes.
    • a) One (1) First Half-Season Prize: A $2,500 prepaid credit card – awarded to the eligible entrant with the greatest number of valid player points according to the rules of the Pool, accumulated as of 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on January 1st, 2020.
    • b) One (1) End of Regular Season Grand Prize for First Place (1st) overall in the Pool: A $5,000 (CAD) prepaid credit card - awarded to the eligible entrant with the greatest number of valid player points according to the rules of the Pool, accumulated as of Sunday, April 4th 2019 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
    • c) One (1) End of Regular Season Prize for Second Place (2nd) overall in the Pool: A $2,000 (CAD) prepaid credit card - awarded to the eligible entrant with the second greatest number of valid player points according to the rules of the Pool, accumulated as of Sunday, April 4th 2019 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
    • d) One (1) End of Regular Season Prize for Third Place (3rd) overall in the Pool: A $500 (CAD) prepaid credit card- awarded to the eligible entrant with the third greatest number of valid player points according to the rules of the Pool, accumulated as of Sunday, April 4th 2019 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time
    Total prize value for all prizes: $10,000 (CAD)
  6. Prize Substitution/Conditions: all prize winners are subject to verification of entrant eligibility and full compliance to the Official Rules of the Pool. Before being declared a prize winner entrants must correctly answer a time limited skill testing math question, verify their identity and sign a release. Prizes must be accepted as awarded, no substitutions. Sponsor reserves the right to modify and/or substitute any prize for one of comparable or greater value.
  7. How to Play
    The objective of The Ray and Dregs Hockey Podcast Fantasy Hockey Pool is to accumulate the most number of Pool Points based upon the contest Scoring System (see Scoring System below) and in accordance with these Official Rules.

    Each team you select will consist of 1 player from each of the boxes. *If a player is injured, he cannot be swapped out. Even though you select 20 total players, only your top 9 forwards, 5 defensemen and 1 goalie will count towards your total overall valid points.

    Scoring Rules of the Pool
    • Only your Top ("Top") 9 forwards, 5 defensemen and 1 goalie count towards your overall score. "Top" is defined as the players with the most valid points according to the scoring system below. If a player's position changes during the season from what the initial entry form has, the initial assigned position will still be used.
    • All Forwards: 1 Goal = 1 Pool Point. 1 Assist = 1 Pool Point.
    • All Defense: 1 Goal = 1 Pool Point. 1 Assist = 1 Pool Point.
    • All Goalies: 1 Win = 1 Pool Point. 1 Shutout = +2 Pool Points (3 total including a win). 1 Goal = 1 Pool Point. 1 Assist = 1 Pool Point.
  8. Tie-Breaking Procedure. If one or more eligible entrants are tied with the same number of valid points in the Pool to be considered a potential prize winner, a random draw from the tied eligible entrants will be made by the Sponsors to select a maximum of one (1) prize winner, for each available prize.
  9. Odds: Odds of winning depend on number of entrants in the Pool.
  10. Publicity: By participating in the Pool, each entrant grants perpetual permission for the Sponsor to use the entrant’s likeness, image, name and voice for the purposes of promotion on any traditional or digital or social platform in any media without further notice or permission or compensation.
  11. Limitation of Liability: Sponsors of the Pool are not responsible for unsuccessful or failed entries into the Pool due to uninterrupted or unavailable network, server, ISP – Internet Service Provider, Website, or any and all other lack or connections, accessibility or computer software or hardware malfunctions regardless of whether human or mechanical including typographical or mathematical tabulation errors including without limitation the tabulation of player points, and the announcements of prizes or in any Pool related materials. The above limitation of liability includes any 3rd party service provider contracted by the Sponsor to provide any computer/software/server services to the Pool.
  12. Tampering/Hacking: Sponsors of the Pool are not responsible for damage or injury to any entrant or their computer devices related to or resulting from participating in the Pool or visiting any website. Attempted tampering or hacking of the Pool by any entrant will result in immediate disqualification.
  13. Modification/Termination/Suspension: Sponsor of the Pool reserves the right to at any time solely deemed necessary by the Sponsor, modify the rules of the Pool, or suspend the Pool or terminate the Pool.
  14. All applicable federal, provincial, municipal, territorial and local laws and regulations apply. The laws of the Province of British Columbia shall apply to any questions surrounding the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules.
