Ryan Getzlaf
Ryan Getzlaf was drafted into the NHL by the Anaheim Ducks in the 1st round, 19th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. After being drafted, Getzlaf returned to the Calgary Hitmen and played two more seasons with the team in the Western Hockey League.
Getzlaf made his NHL debut with the Ducks during the 2005-06 NHL season, appearing in 57 games and scoring 39 points. Getzlaf made it to Western Conference Finals in his first year in the NHL with the Ducks, but they were eliminated in 5 games by the Edmonton Oilers.
The next season, Getzlaf played all 82 regular season games and scored 58 points while also appearing in all of the Ducks games during the 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Getzlaf helped the Ducks to defeat the Ottawa Senators in the Stanley Cup Final to win his first Stanley Cup Championship. Getzlaf led the Duck's roster in scoring in the 2007 playoffs.
Getzlaf is a confident player with lots of personality, like a younger Jeremy Roenick. He has great size, skill and soft hands that enable him to make a play almost each time he touches the puck. Getzlaf is also great on the point during the power play.
