Marc-Edouard Vlasic
Marc-Edouard Vlasic was born in Montreal, Quebec, and began playing for the QMJHL Quebec Remparts in 2003. He has spent three years with the Remparts and was drafted by the NHL San Jose Sharks in 2005 as the 35th pick overall in the draft. Vlasic started in the NHL with the Sharks in the 2006-2007 season, playing in 81 games. He finished his rookie season with 26 points, including 3 goals and 23 assists. Vlasic also played in 11 playoff games with the Sharks, finishing with an assist. He is a defensively responsible player that loves to play defensive hockey. Vlasic rarely makes mistakes in his own zone and is capable of playing in any game situation because of his maturity. He may not have much offensive potential, but he's young and very well could develop into a highly talented offensive player given time and practice. Vlasic is a potential top four defenseman on any team in the NHL and will develop his size further to accommodate his role. He's a player to watch.
