Corey Perry
Corey Perry played for the AAA Petes in Peterborough and won the OHL Cup with his team in the 2000-2001 season. He was drafted into the Ontario Hockey League by the London Knights, being selected fifth overall in the 2001 OHL Priority Draft. Perry He was later a first-round draft pick, being selected 28th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Anaheim Ducks.
Perry made his debut with the Ducks in the 2005-2006 season. He was sent down to the Portland Pirates with Ryan Getzlaf, but after posting amazing numbers he had convinced the Ducks management that he deserved a spot. After that, Perry was on the Ducks permanent roster.
In 2006-2007, Perry would help the Ducks win the Stanley Cup. He is one of very few players to win a Memorial Cup, a gold medal in the IIHF World Junior Championships, and a Stanley Cup.
Perry has gobs of talent and a combination of high end offensive skill and a somewhat chippy side. He is at his best when he is being defensively pressured and can push past most aggressive players to charge the net. Perry needs to add some bulk to his lanky frame, but playing with Getzlaf and Penner will certainly give him some offensive chances.
